AMTAR Research Retreat

The ARC Research Hub for Advanced Manufacture of Targeted Radiopharmaceuticals recently hosted its inaugural Annual Retreat at Clear Mountain for two days of collaboration, innovation, and strategic planning.

The retreat welcomed partners from The University of Queensland, University of Sydney, AdvanCell, Clarity Pharmaceuticals, Telix Pharmaceuticals, Starpharma, GlyTherix, Cyclowest, CSIRO, ANSTO, FB Rice, Q-TRaCE, and the National Imaging Facility. Attendees engaged in dynamic discussions and presentations spanning chelator design, biologics, and translational research.

Highlights included:

  • Outstanding presentations from early career researchers, with Benedict Lum receiving the award for best ECR presentation.
  • Insightful industry panel sessions, emphasising the importance of bridging research with real-world applications.
  • A practical IP workshop led by FB Rice, offering guidance on patenting and licensing in the radiopharmaceutical sector.

The retreat underscored the power of collaboration in driving scientific breakthroughs and shaping the future of targeted radiopharmaceuticals. With strengthened networks and fresh research directions, the Hub is poised for impactful advancements.
