Damion Stimson

Damion Stimson, a qualified Radiopharmaceutical Scientist Specialist (ACPSEM), has more than 30 years’ experience in radiochemistry with a strong focus on radiation safety. Working at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, at Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and currently with The University of Queensland, Damion has extensive experience in commissioning and operating plant and equipment for the production and safe handling of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals.  Damion is currently the Facility Manager for the Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Capability at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. Damion contributes to AMTAR by enabling research through the provision of cyclotron-produced radioisotopes, training, and radiolabelling capabilities/strategies.
